What you may do with what is on 420.camp — the legal summaries, the venue directory, the travel index and the API. Last updated 2026-08-31.

The short version

• Quote us, with attribution and a link. Yes.
• Build something on our API, within its limits. Yes.
• Copy the directory wholesale, or republish it as your own. No.
• Present our summaries as legal advice, or as your own research. No.

1. What this covers

The legal summaries and their citations, venue listings, the travel index and its scores, and the structured data served by our API. It does not cover our name, logo or design, and it does not cover photographs, which belong to whoever took them — see section 5.

2. What you may do

You may quote, excerpt and link to our content, including in commercial work, provided that you attribute 420.camp and link to the specific page you drew from. An article, a video, a travel guide, a comparison, a research paper — all fine.

You may use the API to build a product, within the rate and record limits of your plan, and subject to the rules on the developers page.

3. What you may not do

You may not reproduce the directory in bulk — as a database, a mirror, a scraped copy or a derived dataset that substitutes for it — whether by crawling the site or through the API. The individual pages are public; the collection is the work.

You may not present our legal summaries as legal advice, as your own research, or without the date and source we publish alongside them. They are plain-language summaries with citations, and stripping the citation is how a summary becomes a claim.

You may not use our content to imply that 420.camp endorses a venue, a product or a seller.

4. Attribution

Name 420.camp and link to the page. Where you reproduce a legal summary, also show the date we last reviewed it — every legal response from our API includes it, and a summary without its date is worse than no summary.

5. Photographs

Photographs are not ours to license to you. Each one belongs to the venue, the visitor who contributed it, or the source it came from, and each carries its own rights status in our data. Do not reuse a photograph on the strength of this page.

6. Contributions by others

Reviews, photographs and suggestions are contributed by people, who keep ownership of them and grant us the licence described in the terms of use. That licence is ours, not transferable to you: this page does not give you the right to republish somebody's review as your own content.

7. If you need more

A licence for bulk access, redistribution, or a dataset for research or model training is something we will discuss — write to hello@420.camp and say what you need it for. A request is more likely to succeed than a crawler.

8. Changes

We may change these terms. The date above says when they last changed; what you have already published in good faith under an earlier version stays permitted.
