Browsing without an account

You can read every legal guide and every venue page without an account and without accepting anything. Analytics and advertising tags stay switched off until you accept them — that is enforced by consent defaults set before the tag manager loads, not by a promise.

If you accept analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to count page views and searches. We send the search term you typed and which kind of page you were on. We do not send your name or email address to it. You can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie banner.

If you create an account

We store your email address, a display name if you set one, and the sessions you have open. We keep what you contribute — reviews and their earlier versions, photographs, venue suggestions, address confirmations — and the Seeds ledger that explains your balance, which is append-only by design: a balance that cannot be explained by the entries behind it is not worth having.

Location

"Use my location" and "I'm here — confirm the address" ask your browser for coordinates. Confirming a venue's address stores that you confirmed it and how far away you were, because that is what makes the confirmation worth anything. Ordinary map use does not store your coordinates; they are used for the request and discarded.

If you claim a venue

We keep the claim, the conversation with our reviewers, and any documents you send to prove you control the business. Those documents are visible to our moderators and to nobody else, and they are not published.

What we log

Our servers log requests to run and protect the service. Moderation decisions — approving a photo, hiding a review, granting a plan, deleting something — are written to an audit log with who did it. That log is internal and is how a decision can be explained later.

Who else sees it

Google, for analytics you have consented to and for the maps and place data behind the directory. Nobody buys this data from us, and we do not sell it. Public parts of what you contribute — a review, its author name, a published photograph — are public, including through our API.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion of your account and its contributions. Write to privacy@420.camp. Deleting an account removes its contributions from public view; audit-log entries recording our own moderation decisions are kept, because a record that can be erased by the person it concerns is not a record.

Children

This site is not for people under the legal age for cannabis information where they are. We do not knowingly keep data about them; tell us if you believe we have.
