Start with your destination’s local guide, then use the map to find listed venues nearby. Check the venue’s own page for its address, access requirements, opening hours and contact information. A directory listing is not a licence or an admission guarantee.
What membership does and does not establish
Membership alone does not establish lawful distribution: the Supreme Court’s Ratja Vip case involved a club convicted for distribution. Its facts are not a legal determination about every listed club. Court source.
Ask the venue before leaving
Use its published contact channel to ask whether it is accepting membership requests, which identification it requires, whether residence or introduction requirements apply, what fee is charged, and whether an appointment is needed. Request confirmation for your situation. Do not assume that every club has the same age requirement, waiting period or tourist policy.
Compare the answer with the access fields on its page. A missing requirement means it has not been confirmed, not that it does not exist. Report a discrepancy so the owner or editorial team can review it. Owners can keep their existing fiche, descriptions, photos, opening hours and menu up to date; that fresh information should take precedence over a generic guide.
Check the separate rules
Public consumption or illicit possession is an administrative offence under article 36.16. BOE source. Medical preparations under RD 903/2025 follow hospital specialist prescription and hospital pharmacy dispensing. BOE source.
Read purchase, tourist access, medical access and consumption separately. For an inherited rule, follow the named jurisdiction and its review date; it does not prove a separate municipal review. If something important is unconfirmed, ask before travelling rather than treating the listing as permission.
